If you are human, there’s no escaping making mistakes or experiencing setbacks or failure. That’s how we learn. But often, these experiences bring out an overly harsh and unhelpful inner critic. To learn and grow from our mistakes and setbacks, a growth mindset is helpful.
Self-compassion, which contrary to popular belief, is not meekness, pity or complacency, is foundational to such a mindset.
And, as a multifaceted skill set that supports self-insight and understanding, self-compassion can be trained and cultivated for greater stores of resilience, an increased capacity to work with adversity, and even improved physical well-being.
In this 90-minute online evening workshop, we’ll explore the foundational building blocks of self-compassion.
This experiential and practical session is useful for any human and especially those working in helping professions, activists, managers and leaders.
Past participants of thrivelife’s training in self-compassion can also use these workshops as an opportunity to nourish and revitalise their practice.
